Third Mandate Survey

The future looks positive for Rugby First vote!

Results from the recent Rugby First third mandate survey have confirmed that almost three quarters of the businesses that responded would vote yes to a third mandate for Rugby First. The high response rate (nearly 45% of the voters) and survey results clearly highlighted what the majority of the businesses expect from Rugby First (if successful) and will be invaluable in helping the town centre business focussed organisation shape the next mandate for businesses to vote on.

The survey distributed to all BID levy payers was carried out through March and April 2015. Over 190 town centre businesses responded to the survey which had to be completed and returned by the 17 April. Feedback was presented at a BID forum meeting, on Thursday 23rd April 2015.

A key highlight from the survey was that over 97% of the respondents were satisfied that Rugby First should continue to provide their existing services that include town rangers, CCTV, cleaning, marketing and event activities.

Aftab Gaffar, Managing Director of Rugby First said: “I would like to thank all those businesses that responded to the survey and attended the meeting on Thursday evening. Their responses and feedback have been invaluable and will really help to shape the next mandate and business plan content.  I’m very positive about the next vote and hope that businesses will vote yes to a third Rugby First Mandate.”

This survey and feedback continues from the independent survey completed in 2013 - more details here.
