Rugby First has unveiled its latest weapon in tackling the fight against dirt and grime on Rugby’s streets.
They have taken delivery of The Glutton® – the world’s most advanced urban electric vacuum – as part of their continued commitment to keeping Rugby town centre clean and welcoming.
Rich Warren, operations director Rugby First, said: “Our new machine is streets ahead of any other technology available on the market and will enable us to provide extensive deep cleaning in problem or hard to reach areas, like pavement cracks, gutters and underneath street furniture.
“In an average month, our cleaning hit squad already carry out 70 steam-cleans and remove over 200 pieces of chewing gum. We have invested in this new machine to pick up more litter and cover a larger area, to provide the very best cleaning services possible for our town centre.”
The electric cart can work for up to nine hours before it needs to be re-charged, it has a large container to collect litter, a long extendable nozzle to reach into cracks and there are no carbon emissions.
